Celebrating Advent at Aynor MC

The Adult Chancel Choir presented their Annual Christmas Cantata Sunday, December 7. It was a beautiful night of worship.  Ms. Addyson Jordan, freshman at Aynor High School gave a wonderful mediatation titled, "Spreading Cheer" based on Philippians 4:4-9.  We also shared in a delicious meal prepared by Beth Davis and Janet Elliott.  A special thank you to our Music Director Sylvia Page, for her hard work and dedication to put together the cantata each year.  Thank you to Bennie Allen for capturing moments from that evening.

We have new luminaries this year!  If you have not had a chance to see them at night, take a moment in the coming weeks to drive by the church.  Thank you to Allison Best and Pamela Hucks for setting up the beautiful display of light.  We raised over $650 for the Luminary Offering which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Our celebrations continue.  AMC Kids & Youth are gearing up to present “How the Grinch Found Christ in Christmas", this Sunday, December 14 at 6 pm.  The play  is based on the original story by Dr. Seuss and adapted as a religious Christmas program by Valerie Lynch. After the play everyone is invited to a Whoville Party in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring your favorite finger foods to share.  Take a look at some pictures from their latest practice.

Don't forget Sunday, Decmeber 24 at 4:00 pm, we will have a Candlelight Christmas Eve Service with Holy Communion.
